Hi there! I'm Claudia GR Moneo (Jerez, 1994), for my mom, for my mum and for my grandma Rosa. I'm a journalist, creative, and communicator. I create cartoons, workshops, and presentations where I reflect on everyday life, feminism, Andalusia, the Roma community, and our elders. All of this through humor, provocation, and imperfection.

What I do

Vignettes/illustrations

I like to "give people a hard time"; I think one of my talents is to be uncomfortable and impertinent (when necessary). And I mostly do it in the form of a visual story, an illustration, a vignette, or, as I like to call it, a drawing. They feature older women conversing and reflecting on the important things in life: the everyday, the day-to-day.

Dialogue Lab

If women in my cartoons appear asking questions and blurting out whatever comes to mind, it's because I enjoy asking and listening. That's why I connect by holding thought-provoking conversations and gatherings about feminism, memory, ageism, and good living. Since there are often answers to unasked questions, I like to create spaces where questions and doubts can be raised that break with our shared imagination.

Interviews and writing

A journalist by academic training, I love doing interviews and reporting on social and cultural issues. I delve into the person in front of me and uncover their innermost selves to get closer to them and understand their perspective, their way of expressing themselves in the world. After more than five years in local newsrooms, I have to say I love writing. And I do a lot of it on my social media channels, and of course, wherever I'm called.
