INTERVIEWS
AND EDITORIAL

A journalist by training, I love conducting interviews and writing articles on social and cultural topics. I enjoy getting inside the person in front of me, delving into their inner world to understand their perspective and their way of expressing themselves in the world. After more than five years in local newsrooms, I have to say that I love to write. And I do it a lot on my social media, and of course, wherever I'm asked.

Gourmet from Cadiz

I've been a writer for the print magazine 'Gurmé de Cádiz' since the summer of 2024. The publication, which comes out seasonally with summer and winter issues, provides a snapshot of the hospitality businesses in the province of Cádiz. It also features four special sections, where I've contributed interviews: 'One-on-One', 'Restaurant Psychologist', 'New Kitchens', and 'My Day Off in…'. In these sections, I've had the opportunity to interview Borja García of Ultramarinos El Calvo (Puerto Real), Mauricio Jiménez, maître d' at El Faro de Cádiz, and Rosi Sánchez of Tienda D'Estraza (Barbate), among other chefs and restaurateurs from our rich province.

MEMENTO FABULAM

Writer of one of the 22 interviews in the book Memento Fabulam, a project directed by photographer Candela Núñez and published by the Association of Family and Friends for the Recovery of Historical Memory of Jerez together with the Provincial Council of Cádiz.

The book compiles testimonies from relatives of victims of Francoist repression in Jerez de la Frontera. Through interviews such as that of the family of Miguel García Román, known as "El Niño de los Nardos" (The Boy of the Tuberoses), stories of persecution and memory that remained silenced for decades are reconstructed.

Sone Jerez

Participation in the eco-local and multidisciplinary project Sone Jerez, developed in the Jerez de la Frontera region within a European context. The initiative, spearheaded by the artist Estelle Julian, brought together various local and international stakeholders over two years to reflect on the renaturalization of the city through the cultural tradition of the Zambomba.

As part of the project, I participated in the creation of new Christmas carols with an ecological theme, alongside Lucía Franco Corrales. The initiative culminated in a climate-themed Christmas carol celebration (Zambomba) held in the San Mateo neighborhood of Jerez, where I also contributed to the musical direction for Belenish Moreno-Gil and Lucía Franco.
