Claudia Gr. Moneo

Hi there! I'm Claudia GR Moneo (Jerez, 1994), for my mom, for my mum and for my grandma Rosa.

In 2023, I started the dialogue workshop "A Shared Room" in Guadalcacín (Jerez de la Frontera), San Fernando, and Cádiz. I also launched the conference "I'm Still Alive Thanks to My Friends" with my writer and illustrator friend Anita Doinel.

I have illustrated for Pikara Magazine, for the magazine 'Archiletras', 'We intend to gitanize the world' and for Andalusian singer-songwriters such as Rosalinda Galán and Morti Jaleo, as well as the libretto-songbook 'Lah letrah de nuehtra Zambomba' (published by Prima Luce Natus) and the poetry collection 'Las manos sobre el vientre' by Sonia Herrera Collado.

Journalist, creative, and communicator. I write, draw, question, and stir things up.

Contact me to see how we can collaborate.

A little more about me

In 2024, I participated in the "No Care, No Life" conference for the Cádiz Provincial Council; in the 1st Reflection on Unwanted Loneliness conference for the Red Cross, with the presentation "What I Learn from My Grandmother"; and in the "Dismantling Hate Speech" conference for teachers in Andalusia organized by Madre Coraje, with the presentation "What Would Your Grandmother Say If She Saw You?"

I worked as an interviewer and writer for the 'Memento Fabulam' historical memory project in Jerez, in book and documentary format. In mid-2024, I created the podcast 'Un posca con mi abuela' (A Posca with My Grandmother) with my grandmother, Rosa Moneo Vargas, available on YouTube and Spotify. We discuss everyday topics such as education, health, grief, and errands. In 2025, we embarked on the first tour of the posca show, titled 'Qué le dice la abuela a la nieta' (What Grandmother Says to Her Granddaughter), in Arcos, San Fernando, Seville, and Jerez.

That same year, I conducted lettering workshops for older women on gender-based violence prevention through the Federation La Voz de las Mujeres (The Voice of Women). I'm currently collaborating with the newspaper El Salto on a monthly cartoon.
